1) Play the recording of 3a so that Ss can circle the letters. Then ask Ss to finish 3b. 
2) Play the recording of 4, get Ss to repeat. See if they can understand the spelling rules. Give some explanation if needed and then ask Ss to try reading the words in 4 of Self Check. Offer help.
3) Ask Ss to number the words in 3 in Self Check and check the answers for each other.
4) Ask Ss to check the words they know in 1 and copy each of them three times in their exercise book.
5) If possible, do some classroom exercises and leave some homework.    1) Copy the letters in your exercise book correctly. Check for each other.
2) Read the words aloud and find the same sound in each group of words in 4.
3)  Try reading the words in column B of 4 in Self Check with the sense you get from the words in column A. Then read after the teacher.
