Due to the bad weather coming with a new round of cold front, traffic accidents have increased in North China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.
In the past two days, more than300 cases of traffic accidents were reported during the morning and evening rush hours. Many of the accidents are pileups. Meanwhile, snow has forced parts of the expressways across the region to be closed. Temperatures is forecast to drop by six to 10 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
Local thermal companies have taken measures to ensure the heating supply to residents.
