Well-known American investor Jim Rogers sees China as the world's next great country because of emerging investment opportunities.

Rogers said in an interview with CCTV during a visit to Tianjin on Monday that the road ahead for China may be bumpy at times but the country will come out on top.

"Having setbacks is normal, things grow like this.

There are always problems along the way, and China will certainly have problems, everybody has problems.

I don't know what or when or why, but China is the next great country in the world," Rogers said.
