Large amounts of drift ice are flowing on the Yellow River in northwest China following a recent temperature drop. 121 kilometers of the Yellow River section in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region are affected.
The drift ice is flowing at a normal speed. The area it covers has become larger compared to a few days ago. There are 397 kilometers in the Ningxia section of the Yellow River.
Typically every year, around 160 kilometers are affected by drift ice. And it usually reaches its peak in early February.
