2010年普利策奖公布 网媒首度获奖

The Washington Post and the New York Times were named winners of the prestigious Pulitzer prizes for 2010. The results were announced by Columbia University in New York on Monday.

The Pulitzer is the most coveted award in U.S. journalism, and are given out annually by Columbia University on the recommendation of a 19-member board.

The four Pulitzers received by the Washington Post were in the categories of international reporting, feature writing, commentary, and criticism.

The New York Times was awarded for its explanatory reporting and national reporting. The American daily newspaper still holds a record of seven Pulitzers won in 2002 for its coverage of issues related to the Sept.

11 terrorist attacks and on the financial markets. The Dallas Morning News, SFGate.com, the San Francisco Chronicle website, and the Des Moines Register were the winners in the categories of editorial writing, editorial cartooning and breaking-news photography respectively.
