Artists are looking forward eagerly to the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. For both new and established artists, the Grammys are a pinnacle for a career in the music business.
Country group Little Big Town has been to the big stage before, with five Grammy nominations and one win. The group is up for another nomination this year for best country duo/group performance, for the song "Your Side Of the Bed.
"We were pretty awestruck by the moment, you know. And I know you were in there when we came into the press room, we were a little? I don’t know? We were high from the win, that’s for sure." Karen Fairchild, Little Big Town said.
For up-and-coming country singer Lee Brice, his first nomination ever came with a powerful song called "I Drive Your Truck," about mourning a lost loved one.
Country music these days, a lot of it is about fun and that kind of stuff, which is completely fine, but I am just glad there are songs like this still that are that great. That actually mean something and say something. And honestly I am just so fortunate to be a part of it in any way." Lee Brice, Recording Artist said.
Brice started out as a songwriter and the nomination is a dream come true. He could be in for an even sweeter surprise when the Grammy Awards are announced on January 26th.
