- She had already gone when I arrived. 我到的时候，她已经走了。
1、already通常和现在完成时连用，而不和一般过去时连用。
（×）Next month she's going back to Shanghai. She booked the tickets already.
（√）Next month she's going back to Shanghai. She has booked the tictets already.
下月她即将返回上海。她已经订了票。
2、辨析already，still和yet
一定要区分好它们的意思和用法，这三个词经常同时出现在考试题中。already是“已经”的意思，一般用于肯定句，常与完成时连用；still是“仍然，还是”，强调动作在进行中，主要用于肯定句中； yet是“已经，还”，一般用于否定句和疑问句，常位于句末。
- She is still in bed at 10 o'clock. 十点她还在睡觉。
- They haven't been there yet. 他们还没到那儿。
3、辨析already和all ready
already是副词，意思是“已经”；all ready是词组，意思是“都准备好了”。
- I've already finished. 我已经干完了。
- We are all ready. 我们都准备好了。
