3. 错。bring out 与 take out 不是反义词，并且当它们表示“拿出”时是一组同义词。如：He took out [brought out] his dictionary and looked the word up in it. 他拿出词典来查这个词。

4. 错。slow up 与 slow down 不是反义词，并且当它们表示“(使)慢下来”“(生意)淡下来”时是一组同义词。如：The car slowed down [up]. 汽车放慢了速度。Don’t slow up [down] now! 现在别慢下来。Business slowed up [down] after Christmas. 圣诞节后生意清淡了。

5. 错。当and用于 good, nice, fine 等之后时，它不再表示“和”，而是与之一起构成习语，表示“很”“挺”。如：It’s good and warm in the room. 这房里很暖和。It’s nice and cool under the tree. 这树下很凉快。The book is nice and expensive. 这本书很贵。

6. 错。当since用作连词时它有这样一个特点：它所引导的时间状语从句的谓语通常应是非延续性动词，如果是延续性动词或状态动词，那么它所表示的通常是动作或状态的完成或结束(而不是其开始)。如 I haven’t heard from him since he lived in Beijing 的意思是“自从他离开北京以来，我一直未收到他的信”，而不是“自从他住在北京以来，我一直未收到他的信”(live的结束就是leave)。若要表示从句中的动作或状态延续至今，就应该用持续性动词的现在完成时，而不是用一般过去时。如：I haven’t had a good meal (ever) since I’ve been here. 我自从来到这里后还没吃过一顿好的。所以He hasn’t come to see me since I was ill 的意思不是“自从我生病以来他还没有来看过我”，而是“自从我病好以来他还没有来看过我”。

7. 错。要表示汉语的“希望某人做某事”，可以说wish sb to do sth，但是不能说 hope sb to do sth。若要用 hope可用hope for sb to do sth或后接宾语从句，如“我们希望他能及时赶到”可译为We hope for him to arrive in time.或 We hope that he can arrive in time.

8. 错。要表示汉语的“建议某人做某事”，可以说advise sb to do sth，但不能说 suggest sb to do sth。若要用 suggest，可后接动名词或宾语从句，如“他建议我们买台电脑”可译为He suggested our buying a computer 或He suggested that we (should) buy a computer.

9. 错。汉语可说“虽然……但是……”，但英语不能将其直译为although…but…，所以“虽然他很年轻，但很能干”不能译为 Although he is young, but he is able. 但是，But I didn’t know that then, although I learned it later(但我当时的确不知道此事，尽管后来我还是知道了)却是一句地道的英语，因为句首的but 表示与前文转折，其后的 I didn’t know that then, although I learned it later 仍为一个完全的复合句。又如：I tried doing the accounts, but although I knew some maths I found it very difficult. 我试着算这些账，但尽管我懂点数学，仍感到很困难。此句也可改写为 I tried doing the accounts, but I found it very difficult although I knew some maths.

10. 错。这里的as…so…不是表示“因为……所以……”，而是表示“正如……一样，……”。As you like music, so I like poetry 的意思是“正如你喜欢音乐一样，我喜欢诗歌”。又如：As the Americans like baseball, so the British like soccer. 正如美国人喜欢棒球一样，英国人喜欢足球。
