考点6 考查有关购物的交际用语及回答
1. 顾客走进商店，店主最常用的两句话是：
Can I help you? 你要买什么?
What can I do for you? 你要买什么?
但是，一般不说：What do you want? 或 What do you buy? 因为这不太礼貌。
2. 出于礼貌，有时顾客买了东西后，往往说上一句Thank you, 店主则用 You are welcome 之类的话回答。有时还会补上一句Come again, please, 而有时则可能是店主把顾客所买的东西包好(wrap up)，在收钱时微笑着说一声 Thank you。你若是对其服务态度满意，也可用Thank you 来回答，若只是报之一微笑或不吱声，也没关系。
3. 询问价格的说法有很多：
How much is it?
How much does it cost?
What does it cost?
How much do you sell it?
但为了方便起见，其实只需说两个词就可以了：
How much (, please)?
【考例】—What can I do for you?

A. Yes, you can give a skirt to me B. I’d like a skirt
C. No, I can do it myself D. I can do what I want
【分析】答案选B。口语中说What can I do for you，本意是“要我帮你什么忙吗？”，若是售货员这样说，则表示“你要买什么东西吗？”。
考点7 考查有关打电话的交际用语及回答
有关打电话的交际用语，应注意以下几类表达：
1. 找人接电话的常用套语(以 Mr Smith 为例)：
May I speak to Mr Smith, please? 请找史密斯先生接电话好吗?
Can [Could] I speak to Mr Smith, please? 请找史密斯先生接电话好吗?
Is Mr Smith there? 史密斯先生在那儿吗?
2. 询问对方姓名的常用套语：
Is that Mr Smith (speaking)? 你是史密斯先生吗?
Is that you, Mr Smith? 你是史密斯先生吗?
Is Mr Smith there? 你是史密斯先生吗?
Who’s that (speaking), please? 请问你是哪位?
Who’s speaking, please? 请问你是哪位?
3. 告诉对方自己的姓名(以 Mary 为例)：
This is Mary (speaking). 我是玛丽。
Mary speaking. 我是玛丽。
(This is) Mary here. 我是玛丽。
4. 叫对方等一下(不挂断电话)的常用套语：
Just a minute, please. 请等一下。
One moment, please. 请等一下。
Don’t hang up, please. 请不要挂断。
Hang on, please. 请等一下。
Hold the line, please. 请等一下。
5. 其他套语：
Your number, please. 请说你的电话号码。
The line is engaged. 电话占线。
I’ll put you through. 我给你转过去。
【考例1】—Who’s that speaking?
—________. (湖北恩施中考题)
A. I’m Michael B. That’s Michael speaking
C. It’s me D. This is Michael (http://ask.hxen.com/)
【分析】答案选D。用英语打电话时，要表示“我是某某”，习惯上应说成This is…而不用I’m…。
【考例2】—May I speak to Mr. Brown?
—________. I’ll go and get him. (福建莆田中考题)
A. Speaking B. Wrong number C. Hold on, please
【分析】答案选C。根据后面的I’ll go and get him（我去叫他）可知，接电话的人是要对方等一下，故选Hold on, please（请不要挂电话）。
考点8 考查有关祝贺语的交际用语及回答
表示祝贺的常用交际语有：
Let me congratulate you. 请允许我向你表示祝贺。
Congratulations. 祝贺你；祝贺祝贺；恭喜恭喜。
Congratulations on your new job. 祝贺你有了新的工作。
Congratulations on passing the exam. 祝贺你考试通过。
Congratulations to you all. 祝贺你们大家。
Well done. 干得好；做得好；祝贺你。
回答祝贺一般用 Thank you 之类表示感谢的套语。
