4. 用于 heart and soul(全心全意，全部心思)，可相当于副词用作状语，也可相当于名词用作主语(谓语通常用单数，有时也用复数)或宾语(主要用作介词 with 的宾语)。如：
We must serve the people heart and soul. 我们必须全心全意地为人民服务。
He plays tennis badly, but with heart and soul. 他的网球打得很糟糕，但打得很投入。
When he plays the piano, his heart and soul is in it. 他弹钢琴时，全神贯注。
He is a man whose heart and soul were clearly in theventure from the start. 他是一个从一开始就把全身心精力都扑在冒险事业上的人。
◆heavy adj.
1. 用作形容词，本义为“重的”，有不少引申用法，注意不要直译。如：heavy rain/snow(大雨/雪)，a heavy smoker(烟瘾大的人)，
heavy traffic(交通拥挤)，heavy smoke(浓烟)等
但也有些比喻用法与汉语习惯一样，可直译。如：a heavy cold(重感冒)，heavy losses(重大损失)等。
2. 询问重量，可用 how heavy。如：
How heavy is the parcel? 这个包裹有多重?
比较：How old is he? 他多大?
How long is it? 它有多长?
但是值得注意的是，heavy 有一点与 old, long, wide, high, tall等形容词不同，即 heavy 一般不用于表度量的名词之后。如：
正：The rope is five meters long. 这根绳子长五米。
正：The parcel is five kilos. 这个包裹重五公斤。
误：The parcel is five kilos heavy.

用作名词，表示“高度”，可指人的高度，也可以指事物的高度或海拨高度等。注意以下各句的搭配：
He is two meters in height. 他身高
He is of ordinary (middle) height. 他普通(中等)身材。
The tree grew to a height of ten meters. 这树长有
Such birds can fly at a height of 4000 feet. 这种鸟能在4000英尺的高空飞翔。
询问人或事物的高度，可用类似以下这样的句型：
What’s your height? 你有多高?
What is the height of the mountain? 这山有多高?
◆hello interj. & n.
1. 用作感叹词，主要用于打招呼、引起注意、表示惊讶或用作电话招呼语等，具体意思视场合而定。如：
Hello! How are you? 嘿，你好！
Hullo! Is anyone there? 喂! 有人吗?
Hallo, can you hear me? 哎，你听得见我的话吗?
Hello, who is speaking, please? 喂! 你是哪位?
Hello! Somebody’s left their hat behind. 哟，有人忘了拿帽子了。
2. 用作名词，常与 say, tell, give 等动词连用。如：
Tell your wife hello for me. 代我向你妻子问好。
He gave me a warm hello. 他热情地向我打招呼。
He didn’t say hello to me. 他没向我打招呼。
She gave a loud hello to let us know where she was. 她高喊一声“喂”以便让我知道她在哪里。
