重点四  as…as结构的用法及修饰语（重要考点）

as…as结构的意思是“与……一样”，第一个as后接形容词或副词的原级，不能用比较级或最高级。在否定句中第一个as可换成so。该结构可用nearly, twice, three times等修饰，但必须置于as…as结构之前。如：

Nanjing isn’t so large ______ Shanghai, however, it’s the second ______ city in East China.(江苏无锡中考题)

A. like; largest      B. as; largest         C. like; large         D. as; large

答案为B。第一空填as，构成as…as结构（因为是否定句，故用的是so…as）；第二空要填最高级，因为其前有序数词修饰。

重点五  比较级的两个常用句式（普通考点）

1. the+比较级, the+比较级：其意为“越……就越……”。如：

The ______ you work at your lessons, the ______ results you will get. (湖北黄石中考题)

A. hard; good       B. harder; good    C. hard; better      D. harder; better

答案为D。考查“the+比较级，the+比较级”句式，意思是“越……就越……”。

2. 比较级+and+比较级：其意为“越来越……”。如：

When winter comes, days get ______. (贵州毕节中考题)

A. long and long B. short and short      C. longer and longer 

D. shorter and shorter

答案为D。根据常识可知，当冬天来的时候，白天会变得越来越短，故选D。
