如何用英语表示A < B

对于A < B的情形，英语可用“not so /as + 原级 + as +比较对象”句型表示。如：

It is not as hot in Beijing as in Wuhan. 北京没有武汉热。

He doesn’t pay as much tax as we do. 他没我们交的税款多。

There are not as many restaurants as there were. 现在餐馆没有过去多了。

另外一个办法是采用less (…) than…句型。如：

The lessons last less than an hour. 这些课讲授不到一小时。

The north is less expensive to live in than the south. 北方的生活费用比南方低。

This word is less frequent in British English than in American English. 这个词在英国英语里比在美国英语里少见。
