1．compare  v.

比较，对照：

The article compares the different features of imported cars on the market.

这篇文章比较了市场上进口汽车的不同特点。

Compared to our little garden, his garden seemed like a park.

与我们的花园相比，他的花园就像是一个公园。

2．suit  v.

（1）适合；适宜于：

Finding a place that suits us all is very difficult.

找到一个适合于我们所有人的地方是很困难的。

‘One o'clock? That does not suit me.’

“1点钟？那个时间对我来说不合适。”

（2）相称，相当：

He would not be suited to the job.

他不适合干那份工作。

Blue suits her.

蓝色与她相配。
