Financial details of LeBron James' stunning move to Cleveland are being made. The Chosen One, who left the Miami Heat after four years, will return to the team that drafted him, and sign a two-year deal worth around 42-million dollars.
James announced his decision to leave the four-time finalist Miami Heat on Friday. The two-year deal allow the Cavaliers to have some payroll flexibility -- because they will not be saddled with a large player contract long-term.
The deal will also allow James to seek an extension once this deal ends -- and it is expected the league's salary cup will continue to increase, which means he could, in theory, get a raise.
The four-time MVP spent the first seven years of his career in Cleveland, before leaving to play in Miami, where he won two NBA titles. LeBron is currently in Brazil for a promotional tour with his shoe company, which runs in conjunction with the World Cup, and he says he's excited about going back to his former team.
