In China, five new cases of human H7N9 were reported on Tuesday, bringing to 107 the number of cases reported across the country this year. Twenty deaths have been reported this month alone.
Four of the new victims are in east China’s Zhejiang province, including two who are in critical condition. The other person stricken with the flu is in Jiangsu province.
So far, Zhejiang has the largest number of people who have been infected with 53.
Health authorities say there are no signs that the virus is being spread human to human, or that a wide spread outbreak of the flu is likely.
