China’s Qing Ming, or Tomb Sweeping Day is just a few days away. The three day national holiday is when Chinese people pay respects to their ancestors and also enjoy some seasonal flower blooming.
During the holiday, expressway toll charges will be suspended for vehicles with less than 7 seats. Meanwhile, hotel charges are rising ahead of the festival, mostly in cities popular for flower viewing. Average hotel prices have risen by thirty percent since the middle of March, with some areas reported to have gone up 60 percent. The number of holiday tourists is predicted to rise once again, by about 30 percent.
