A new wave of cold weather is moving over most parts of China. The National Meteorological Center has issued a blue warning. It’s forecast that snow will sweep across eastern and central parts of the country from Thursday through Friday.
Anhui and Zhejiang provinces are expected to see snow of up to 18 millimetres, with sleet expected to hit Jiangxi, Hunan and Guizhou provinces on Friday. The bad weather is likely to cause further difficulties during the Spring Festival rush, which is now reaching its peak. According to the weather authorities, temperatures will fall in northern China, while rain and snow will continue in the south during the Spring Festival holiday.
