中国人民政治协商会议（简称“政协”） The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC)

全国政协是我国最高的政治协商组织，因此也称top political advisory body。

CPPCC设有全国委员会和地方委员会，全国委员会即national committee，地方委员会即local committee，如北京市政协委员会为Beijing Municipal Committee of the CPPCC，或简称为 Beijing CPPCC。

政协全体会议 Plenary Session

CPPCC每年举行一次全体会议，即为plenary session；期间召开的会议一般用meeting。与全国人大一样，政协也是五年一届，今年即为the 12th CPPCC。全国政协第12届一次会议即First Session of the 12th CPPCC National Committee。

政协常委会工作报告 Work Report of the Standing Committee of the 12th CPPCC National Committee

第12届政协一次会议由全国政协主席贾庆林作常委会工作报告。

12届全国政协主席，即为Chairman of the 12th CPPCC National COmmittee，也可写作top Chinese political advisor。

全国人民代表大会 the National People's Congress (NPC)

全国人大每五年为一届，第十二届人大即为the 12th NPC。

NPC为我国最高立法机构，因此也可称为top legislature或top lawmaking body。

人大代表称为deputy，代表团称为delegation，因此代表也可称为delegate。

各级地方人大写法不同，依次为：

省人大——Provincial People's Congress；
自治区人大——Autonomous Regional People's Congress；
直辖市人大——Municipal People's Congress；
县（County）、市（City）、镇/乡（Township）依此类推。

十二届全国人大一次会议主席团 The Presidium of the First Session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC)

十二届全国人大一次会议新闻发布会是The News Conference on the First Session of the 12th National People's Congress；

而Spokesperson for the First Session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC)意为十二届全国人大一次会议大会发言人。

全国政协委员 Member of the National Committe of CPPCC

与人大代表团代表delegate不同，政协某组织的代表用representative，或表达为该代表selected by或come from某组织，如海外侨胞的代表即为Representative of Returned Overseas Chinese。

民主党派正规用法为Non-communist Parties，无党派人士为Individuals without Party Affiliation。
