Dialogue 1.

W: I hope I may postpone the date of my passport.

M: May I see your passport?

W: Yes, sir.

M: Are all materials with you now?

W: Here you are.

M: What’s the purpose of your trip?

W: For pleasure, sir.

Dialogue 2.

W: What’s your purpose for going abroad?

M: For a tour and how long will it take to get a tourist visa?

W: You have to wait for 3 weeks. Do you have any relatives living in America?

M: No, I haven’t.

W: We need the guarantee letter, the entrance registration and the schedule of your stay.

M: Here your are.

Dialogue 3.

W: May I help you?

M: I would like to have a tourist visa for Canada.

W: What’s your career?

M: I am a doctor.

W: Please show me your passport.

M: Here you are.

W: How long will you be staying in the United States?

M: I plan to stay for about 10 days.

W: Do you have anything to declare?

M: I have nothing to declare.

W: Please open this bag. What are these?

M: These are for my personal use and these are gifts for my friends.

W: Do you have any liquor or cigarettes?

M: Yes, I have 3 bottles of whisky.

W: How much money do you have with you?

M: I have 10,000 dollars.

W: Good, please give this declaration card to that officer at the exit. Have a nice day.

M: Thank you.
