Dialogue 1.

M: Excuse me, Madam. What can I do for you?

W: I want to open an account here.

M: What kind of account do you want?

W: A current account please.

M: Our minimum deposit for saving’s account is 100 dollars.

W: That’s quite all right.

Dialogue 2.

M: I’d like to cash this check.

W: Please write your account number and sign your name on the back of the check.

M: Is that all you need?

W: Could I see one more piece of identification?

M: Will a driver’s license do?

W: Yes, that will be fine.

Dialogue 3.

W: Excuse me. I would like to ask about taking out a loan.

M: OK, have a seat please. Do you have an account here?

W: Yes, I’ve been a customer here for about a year.

M: How much do you want to borrow?

W: I am thinking of borrowing 5000 dollars.

M: All right. I’ve got a few more questions to ask you. Then you need to fill out these application forms.

Dialogue 4.

W: What’s the balance in my account?

M: Your balance at the bank is 300 yuan.

W: I’d like to draw 100 yuan from my account.

M: Fill out withdraw form please.

Dialogue 5.

B: Bank teller.

W: Good day sir. Can I help you?

M: Hello, I’d like to cash a couple of traveler’s checks, I’d also like to convert some Canadian dollars into US dollars.

W: Sure. Let’s take care of the traveler’s checks first. How many would you like to cash?

M: Just these two 100 dollar checks.

W: All right. I’ll need to see some identifications please, Mr. Wu. Do you have your passport with you?

M: Yes, I do. Here you are.

W: Thanks. Now please sign both of these checks. How would you like to cash?

M: Four 50s please.

W: Now, how much Canadian currency would you like to convert?

M: I have 87 dollars. What’s the exchange rate today?

W: It’s a dollar 32 Canadian to one US dollar. So 87 Canadian will get you 65 dollars and 90 cents minus the 2 dollar currency conversion charge.

M: Sounds fine.

W: I just need you to fill out this currency conversion form, your name here, address here, and signature down on the bottom there.
