The quality of the relationships in a given couple is predetermined(已决定的) by each partner's personal characteristics, and by his/her capability to develop optimal behavior in the couple. Each one has a number of personal traits(个性、特征) which substantially affect his/ her behavior in the couple. Besides, some other factors such as, educational level, religiosity, financial status, origin, etc. are supposed to exert influence upon the couple relationships.
