Getting promoted is the most powerful drive to work. To be honest, the main purpose of doing jobs is to earn money for life. For most people, getting promoted means a pay raise, which enables them to live a better life.

升职是工作最大的动力。诚实地说，工作的目的在于赚钱养家糊口。对于大多人来说，升职意味着加薪，加薪会使他们生活得更好。

When you are promoted to a high level in the company, you will have more power in making decisions in your job. Getting a promotion also means that you will gain more respect and attention from the whole society. Taking all these into consideration(考虑), getting promoted is the most powerful drive for people to work hard.

I think the biggest drive for people to work hard is that his effort can be valued and respected by other people. Without recognition(认可), one will feel his work is nothing important and then lose his enthusiasm for hard working. In this sense, to realize one's personal value is the most important, not the salary.
