[句型解析]
我们经常在说话时会记不起某个东西或某个人的名字，这时候就可以用“what-do-you-call-it”来代替，相当于我们口语中“那个什么东西”。如果是指人，则要改为“what’s-his-name”或“what’s-her-name”，意为“某某；某某先生；某某女士”。
