examine sb on (in) sth中用介词on与in的区分

在 examine sb on (in) sth 中，用介词 in 通常指在某一学科方面进行测试，用介词 on 通常指在某一问题上进行测试。如：

He examined the students in English (Grammar). 他测试学生的英语（语法）。

I’ll examine you on the work you have done. 我将对所做的工作进行测验。

注意以下两句同义：

老师测试了学生的化学。

正：The teacher examined the students in Chemistry.

正：The teacher examined the students on their knowledge of Chemistry.
