no修饰形容词或副词的用法

■当no用作副词意为not…at all时，可与比较级的形容词和副词搭配使用。如：

—Is he any better this morning? 他今早好一些了吗?

—No, he’s no better. 没有，比以前没有好多少。

一Your dress is dirty. 你的衣裳脏了。

一It’s no worse than Jane’s. 并不比珍妮的脏。

一Have you any more? 你还有吗?

一Oh, sorry, no more. 噢，对不起，没有了。

Her French was no better than mine. 她的法语比我好不了多少。

She was no better the next day. 第二天她未见好转。

有些已构成习语，如no longer, no sooner等。如：

The train is no longer in sight. 列车再也看不见了。

No sooner had he left the house than it began to rain. 他刚离开家就开始下雨了。

■no作副词用时，还可以与某些原级形容词搭配使用，如(from www.hxen.com)：

—Is that book any good? 那本书好吗?

一It’s no good at all. 一点也不好。

一Is John any better? 约翰好些了吗?

一No different. Still very ill. 不见好，仍然病得很重。

He’s no different to the others really. 他的确与其他人没有什么区别。
