P:Well,it's traditional English beer.Lager is a light golden colour,but bitter is dark brown.
H:Urm...
P:OK....I'm having bitter.So you can try mine.
H:What other English drinks can I try,Pete?
P:Cider.That's an alcoholic drink made from apple juice...Or shandy...that's half lager and half
lemonade.
H:Well,I usually drink red wine,but I think I'll try a cider.
P:Pint,or half a pint?
H:What do you mean?
P:Oh...sorry,most beers and cider are served in pint or half pint glasses.A pint is a little more than half a litre.But be careful,cider is quite strong.
H:OK,half a pint,please.
P:How about you,Alan?
Alan:Just an orange juice.I'm driving.Remember?
P:Oh,yes.Of course.Anything else anyone?Peanuts?Crisps?
A:A packet of crisps.Any flavour is OK.
