[00:10.55]Debbie and Simon are students.
[00:15.41]On Saturday mornings,when they are not at school,they are at work.
[00:22.86]They have part-time jobs with the Sunbeam Travel Company.
[00:29.34]They are sitting in the office.
[00:33.46]Debbie and Simon looked up as the door opened and a middle-aged,
[00:41.20]well dressed lady entered.
[00:45.24]She glanced at them both,hesitated a moment,
[00:51.49]then walked over and sat down opposite Debbie.
[00:57.65]Debbie greeted her cheerfully,and they got down to business.
[01:04.31]"I want to go by train from Germany to Paris.Can you...?"
[01:12.86]Simon sighed,picked up some paper from his desk and took it over to the fax machine
[01:22.31]Mr Yang,one of Sunbeam's senior employees,was standing there.
[01:30.25]He said,'What's up,Simon?You don't look very happy.'
[01:37.52]'Nothing,'Simon said.
[01:42.06]Mr Yang put his hand on Simon's shoulder.
[01:48.83]'Come on,'he said.
[01:52.35]'Tell me.I'm your friend as well as your colleague.'
[01:59.12]He gave an encouraging smile.
[02:03.48]'It's the customers,'Simon said.
[02:08.63]'They always prefer Debbie to me.I can't understand it.'
[02:16.49]'I can.It's the way you communicate.'
[02:22.45]'How can that be?' Simon said.
[02:27.41]'Communicating is more than speaking and listening,Simon.
[02:34.38]Your body language is important,too.'
[02:39.14]'What kind of language is that?'
[02:43.29]'It's the way you stand and sit and walk.
[02:49.46]It's your gestures and the expression on your face and in your eyes.
[02:57.01]Your whole appearance communicates things,even when you're not speaking.
