名词作定语应注意的三个问题
1. 通常的情形
名词作定语一般用单数形式。如：
He’s going to open a small shoe shop. 他准备开办一个小鞋铺。
2. man和woman作定语
若将man, woman置于名词前作定语，则man, woman的数应与其后名词的数一致。如：
a woman teacher 一位女教师
two women teachers 两位女教师
3. 用复数作定语的情形
sales, clothes, goods, arts, customs等只用复数形式。如：
He is a sales clerk at a music store. 他是一家音乐商店的售货员。
A goods train carries all kinds of things, but no passengers. 货车运送各种物资，但不载乘客。
